Art is an extremely important component of putting a space together; artwork collected over time turns a house from somewhere to eat and sleep into a rich, expressive, personally identifying home. Karen’s original artwork often finds its place in the living spaces of our clients. With oil on canvas or paper, Karen loves painting scenes of New England, and is especially inspired by the Berkshires and Block Island landscapes. She is currently working on a series of cityscapes featuring New York water towers.

Sometimes the concept for a piece of art requires the larger scale of the walls themselves. Art that is applied directly to the walls creates an immersive experience that only scale can provide. Karen Beckwith Creative often collaborates on modern designs for ‘art on walls’ with muralist Ardis Barrow of Art & Atmosphere. Our work together typically develops along a path of repeating patterns, organic mood-scapes, and imaginative landscapes.
